The Characteristics of an Effective Leader

I have learned there are many different characteristics in becoming an effective leader. Being an effective leader involves building relationships with people. A leader must coach, lead, mentor, teach, monitor and grow from all of these experiences and more. A leader must take time to monitor student progress and the culture of the school. Being a strong leader includes being professional and a good communicator and at the end of the day, make time for self-reflection (Barkman, 2015).
